Some of them break under the pressures and some of them resist the conformity of their parents, but all of them find that there is no escaping growing up, no matter
how much their parents try to keep them from it.
With music by Duncan Sheik, this modern rock score ("the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade," says Entertainment Weekly) strikes a magnificent chord in the truth that teenagers are teenagers, no matter what century.
