OUR CURTAIN TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE

AN UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEY FROM YOUTH TO ADULTHOOD... 19TH CENTURY CHILDREN-- 21ST CENTURY MUSIC!

Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Spring Awakening celebrates the transition all teenagers make from child to adult with a power, poignancy and passion that you will never forget.

Adapted from Frank Wedekind's 1891 expressionist play about the trials, tears, pain and exhilaration of the teen years, it has been hailed as the Best Musical of the Year by the New York Times, New York Post, Star Ledger, Journal News, New York Observer and USA TODAY.

In Germany in 1891, a town whose adults are so gripped with fear and repression that they tell their young men and women nothing of the changes that will come upon them in puberty, struggles as these changes overtake their teens with the powerful force of the changing seasons. Some of them break under the pressures and some of them resist the conformity of their parents, but all of them find that there is no escaping growing up, no matter how much their parents try to keep them from it.

With music by Duncan Sheik, this modern rock score ("the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade," says Entertainment Weekly) strikes a magnificent chord in the truth that teenagers are teenagers, no matter what century.
